Jay Blucher

 

Jay Blucher is a new part owner who will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of our accounting and payroll department. Jay's extensive background in accounting and payroll brings the experience and continuity we have been searching for.

Jay Blucher joined Tax Help, Inc. in 2002 after seven years of working as a bookkeeper for several small Alaskan companies. He has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and has formerly worked as a newspaper reporter for newspapers in Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Anchorage. He's also formerly worked as a technology instructor for children and taught Quickbooks® training classes.

Stephanie Forbes has been doing accounting for various businesses for more than 10 years.  She began with her own business in 2000, a large bed and breakfast on the Kenai Peninsula.  She specializes in assisting our clients in organizing their accounting and with their QuickBooks®.  At the end of every quarter, she can be found diligently working on filing the payroll reports.   She works to support her shoe habit.

Cathy Crew

 

 

Cathy has been involved in accounting of various degrees since graduating from a local Anchoragehigh school. Her accounting experience includes hands on in-depth full-aspect accounting for her own construction company as well as a bed and breakfast.  In addition, her community volunteerism included appointments as the Treasuer for the State, local PTAs, and hockey teams to name a few.

 

Cathy is a true home grown Alaskan getting her BBA in Accounting from the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Cathy originally began working for Tax Help when she was the only employee, in the early years so to speak. She returned to Tax Help in 2003 after moving back to Anchorage from  Fairbanksand Valdez. When not working at Tax Help doing small business Quickbooks® accounting and payroll, she can be found volunteering her accounting expertise at the Alaska PTA and its local units, and her son’s hockey team.
